Ocean Freight Worldwide

Ocean freight is the backbone of international trade: and getting it right demands more than booking a container. GreenLine Global is a Federal Maritime Commission (FMC)-licensed ocean freight forwarder, specialising in international ocean shipping between the USA, Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea, the Middle East and destinations worldwide. We manage the entire chain: from pickup at your facility to final delivery at the destination, including container arrangement, sea freight, customs clearance and documentation.

Whether you need a full container load (FCL), a groupage solution (LCL), temperature-controlled reefer shipping or Ro-Ro for heavy machinery, our ocean forwarder team brings deep expertise across global trade lanes: and the personal service that complex maritime and project cargo demands.

How it works

Door-to-Door Ocean Freight Forwarding

Most freight problems happen at the handover points: between carriers, agents and customs authorities. GreenLine Global owns the entire process, so nothing falls through the gaps. Here is how a complete door-to-door ocean freight shipment works with us: and why international freight by sea runs smoothly when one forwarder controls every step.

01

Pickup at Origin

We arrange collection from your warehouse, factory or site. Our team coordinates timing, loading requirements and any special handling needed for your cargo type.

02

Warehousing & Consolidation

If your shipment needs temporary storage, LCL consolidation or pre-export preparation, our warehousing service handles it before cargo moves to port.

03

Road Transport to Port

We arrange road freight from origin to port: whether that is Port of Norfolk, Port of Rotterdam, or another gateway relevant to your route.

04

Container Booking & Sea Freight

We book the right container type: 20', 40', high cube, flat rack, open top or reefer: negotiate competitive rates with carriers, and confirm the sailing schedule for your shipment.

05

Documentation & Compliance

Our team prepares all ocean freight documentation: Bill of Lading, commercial invoice, packing list, certificates of origin and IMO declarations for ADR cargo. No paperwork errors, no port delays.

06

Customs Clearance

We handle import and export customs clearance at destination. Our team knows US CBP, EU customs and the regulations for every destination we serve: so your cargo clears without holds.

07

Last-Mile Delivery at Destination

Once cleared, we arrange final delivery to the consignee's address, warehouse or site. One forwarder, seven steps, zero handover gaps: that is what door-to-door ocean freight logistics with GreenLine Global looks like.

Our ocean freight services

Sea Freight Shipping: The Right Solution for Your Load

Not all cargo ships the same way. GreenLine Global offers the full range of ocean freight transportation options, matched to your volume, cargo type and destination requirements. Whether you need an ocean freight broker to negotiate rates or a full-service forwarder to manage every step, we cover both.

FCL

Full Container Load

Your cargo fills a 20ft or 40ft container exclusively. Best for volumes over 15 CBM or for cargo requiring isolation. GreenLine books FCL on all major Europe-bound trade lanes and provides a single Bill of Lading for the full container.

LCL

Less than Container Load

Cost-effective for shipments under 15 CBM. Your goods are consolidated with other cargo into a shared container at origin and deconsolidated at a Container Freight Station (CFS) before onward delivery. GreenLine manages all consolidation logistics and individual House Bills of Lading.

RoRo

Roll-on / Roll-off Shipping

The preferred mode for vehicles, heavy machinery, and wheeled equipment. RoRo services operate to ports including Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, and Zeebrugge. GreenLine handles all documentation including the Ocean Bill of Lading, CE conformity requirements, and EU type-approval where applicable.

Project Cargo

Project & Out-of-Gauge Cargo

For cargo that does not fit standard containers: oversized industrial equipment, turbines, steel structures. GreenLine plans flat rack, open-top, and breakbulk solutions with full route surveys, special permits, and heavy-lift coordination at European ports. See our project cargo service.

Reefer

Reefer & Temperature-Controlled

Perishable cargo, pharmaceuticals, and foodstuffs require ISO reefer containers with continuous temperature monitoring. GreenLine manages pre-cooling, temperature log verification, and compliance with EU food safety and HACCP import rules at destination ports.

Dangerous Goods

Dangerous Goods (IMDG)

GreenLine ships IMDG-classified cargo: including chemicals, batteries, and industrial gases. Our team prepares the dangerous goods declaration, selects approved carriers, and ensures compliance with European ADR/IMDG port entry rules at Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Hamburg.
